(Manager)
Grant Thornton Tax Corporation is seeking exceptional professionals who work together in comprehensive, cross-board jobs whose responsibilities include tax treaties, social insurance, social security agreements, and payroll, with a particular focus on income tax on foreign employees assigned to Japan or Japanese employees assigned overseas from Japan.
- Preparation and review of individual income tax returns for foreign residents in Japan
- Preparation and review of overseas assignment contracts and overseas assignment policy
- Preparation and review of records on stock options and other stock compensation
- Application of Japanese Social Insurance to foreign nationals
- Planning of tax and social insurance and compensation systems for overseas employees
- Coordination on personal income tax and social insurance worldwide
- Various gross-up calculation reviews
- Calculating and reviewing adjustments of tax burden between companies and employees
- Assistance with tax investigation and personal income tax
- Manager’s role as a leader in client services
- Over 7 years experience in global mobility or a related industry
(Tax compliance, tax consulting, visa and immigration services, personal financial services) - Experience and knowledge of personal income tax returns
(Experience in tax, accounting or related fields a plus) - Professional English communication skills
- Business Japanese language skills. JPLT Level 1 is advantageous but not required
- Certified Tax Accountant or Tax Professional qualifications from foreign countries are advantageous

Based on qualification and experience

Flexible working hours
*Core time 10: 00–15: 00
*Break time is 1 hour between 11: 30–13: 30
*During the probationary period (3 months), fixed working hours
9: 15–18: 00 (January to June)
9: 15–17: 00 (July – December) for the tax department
5-day working week, national holidays, summer holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, time off for exams, paid holidays, congratulatory or condolence leave.
